Kitchen for a New Extension – Abingdon

This client came to us after visiting a number of other local kitchen design studios. He told us he felt un-inspired and all the designs where very similar and did not appeal. He gave us complete freedom to come up with something different, but within a budget. I had an ex-display kitchen available, so by re-configuring that we managed to create the kitchen you see below.

We used gloss lacquer mixed with a very pale wood finish, matched with a laminate floor and a Mocha quartz worktop.

The feature of the sink base units stepping out is not only attractive but highly practical too. It makes it easier to use the sink as it allows more headroom. Attaching what would have been an Island to the left hand wall allows for much more worktop space and storage, also it maintains a safe zone for cooking. We finished this wall off with panelling and feature shelves with hidden lighting. We also supplied the mixed wall units to create a feature on the opposite wall.

A wide induction hob and downdraft extractor keeps the sight lines clear and makes for a kitchen that is easy to keep tidy.
