Cool New Kitchen Design

This client came to us with a requirement to make more use of the space in the kitchen and dining area.
They had a small island in the kitchen which we felt did not justify the space it occupied but the client had become so used to using it they wanted to keep the island. There was also a recess in the longer wall where we now have tall units.

I really felt strongly about getting rid of the island and we spent a long time working out just how to design the kitchen to make it more usable with a breakfast bar peninsular. Ultimately we did this by using angles on the return which definitely helped with the ‘flow’ of the kitchen. We then used tall and midi height units on the side wall of the kitchen with a false door covering a small section of wall. Doing this removed the recess and allowed the kitchen to look more fitted.

We also added more storage in a second recess and a display area at the front of the kitchen. This was all fitted out with our Italian take on a shaker kitchen. The kitchen was finished with a quartz worktop in Mocca which matched with our high quality Swiss laminate flooring and we even helped chose the wall colours to make sure the whole style concept worked perfectly.
