Contemporary Handleless Kitchen Abingdon

This client came to us wanting a kitchen with a real ‘Wow!’ factor.

We discussed their colour ideas and the types of appliances required but the rest was left to us.

At this point the client had a breakfast bar return and a big space in the middle of the room which did not work in maximising the utility and value of the kitchen space.

We designed an Island with a downdraft extractor so there would be no visual distraction allowing an unimpeded view of the rear wall. The back wall was lined with tall units to accommodate all the appliances; we even fitted the dishwasher below the oven.

Designing the kitchen in this way maintained the open feel but made much better use of the available space. The design incorporated a horizontal handle less channel below the ovens matched with a vertical channel either side of the tall fridge and freezer on the right.

This also allowed us to wall hang the base units with the sink on the returning wall and created a really strong feature effect. We followed the base units with narrow wall units and framed them with wall units coming down the side.

The kitchen was beautifully finished with Dekton Ceramic worktops matched on the Island and used for the splash back too.
