To paraphrase a certain chef, it’s not just about the food (or the kitchen) – everything else matters too – the décor, the staff, the entire experience. That’s exactly how we feel.
Our choice of products was built upon hard work. We’ve visited many manufacturers and suppliers on the quest for product quality that meets our exacting standards and pricing plus levels of service to match. (It’s no good having the perfect kitchen if committed delivery dates can’t be met).

We’ve been operating out of Coxeter House in Abingdon for 4 years now, and over that time have assembled the right team of experienced staff to ensure your installation goes smoothly from start to finish.

From the day you first meet us through to the final installation, here’s what you can expect from Vision Design:

The showroom

We only have friendly advisors in our showroom (no hard sell here). We’ll listen carefully to your needs and wants to incorporate them into beautiful and functional spaces. We have many demonstration room layouts (as well as brochures full of stunning imagery) to help you picture them in your home.

Timeliness

When you are ready to arrange for an initial review/design consultation at your home, we’ll be there the same day (if there’s time) or the next day. At this consultation you can expect:

  • Us to listen (we adhere to the two ears one mouth approach)
  • Advice and feedback
  • Any issues to be highlighted (for example in the walls, plumbing or floor)
  • A sensible discussion on what’s available for your budget

A showroom appointment

We’ll book an appointment with you for within 7 days of the design consultation. We’ll run through a presentation of your new designs:

  • Plans will already have been drawn up, costed and within budget
  • A full photograph-quality walkabout will be ready on state of the art 3D CAD equipment so you can see exactly how the design will look
  • An explanation of why everything is where it is (we consider the room as a whole, not just a collection of individual elements)
  • The budget clearly broken down so you can see what goes where

A Technical Survey

If you decide to go ahead then we’ll arrange a technical survey at your home. This will take into account:

  • Additional measurements
  • Installation planning
  • Any necessary changes

Next steps

Now we move into high gear and arrange all the behind-the-scenes activity to prepare for your installation:

  • All the hardware is ordered including any furniture and appliances
  • Fitters/craftsmen/tradesmen all booked (tilers, plumbers, carpenters, builders etc)
  • Planning compliance dealt with, especially for listed buildings or buildings in a conservation area. Our experience on this means we understand the restrictions placed upon these types of structure

One week before installation we call to confirm.

On the day of the installation, the team will arrive with the designer. The paperwork is dealt with and the fitting begins.
While the installation is running, our own drivers deliver the hardware pre-assembled (where possible). It’s all quality checked prior to delivery to ensure it meets the exact specifications, preventing any errors or delays. We’ll remove any rubbish in our vans so there’ll be no mess or skips left on your driveway.

There will be the communication with you all the way through the installation and all our professionals appreciate that they are working in your home and will treat it respectfully with minimal disruption.

At the handover, we’ll show you how to use your new appliances and run through a quality inspection. If there is a problem we know we can rely on our trusted suppliers to sort it quickly and efficiently.

The entire process normally takes 8 to 9 weeks. It can be faster if we use local items rather than (for example) needing to order a kitchen from Italy.
